These 2 projects use a power plant that produces renewable electricity from a wood processing plant in San Borja (Bolivia) and Capitan Pablo Lagerenza (Paraguay).  The use of waste wood in the power plant also reduces methane emissions from waste wood which was previously left to rot. 

A further benefit of the project is the avoidance of deforestation in the area. Access to the forest is controlled to prevent illegal deforestation, hunting of endangered species and fire outbreaks.
