Buy Offsets - For Individuals
Even by taking steps to reduce your CO2 emissions as much as possible the average individual is still responsible for appr. 25 tonnes of carbon dioxide per annum. We can offset this for you, in a cost effective and effective way (and you may even win a 'Segway' human transporter valued at $12,000/£6,000). Please note that Greatest Planet does not underwrite the use of so called "Carbon Calculators"; a recent survey by a scientist from P-I Research, who tried out 10 different calculators, showed results of between 25 tonnes (lowest) and 75 tonnes of carbon dioxide (highest) for the same individuals. To err firmly on the side of caution, our carbon offsets are based at the lowest end of these calculators, i.e. 25 tonnes of carbon dioxide per annum per individual.
If you wish to offset your CO2 emissions for a single year, the cost is £199 ($399) which equates to only £7.96 ($15.96) per ton of carbon dioxide.
If you wish to offset your CO2 emissions for 3 years (equivalent to 75 tonnes of carbon dioxide), Greatest Planet reduces its charges to £499 ($999) in total (which equates to only £6.65 ($13.32) per ton of carbon dioxide).
